Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 7,   Pages 940-956 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000071

Abstract: Healthcare and telemedicine industries are relying on technology that is connected to the Internet. Digital health data are more prone to cyber attacks because of the treasure trove of personal data they possess. This necessitates protection of digital medical images and their secure transmission. In this paper, an encryption technique based on mutated with Lorenz and Lü is employed to generate high pseudo-random key streams. The proposed chaos- cryptic system operates on the integer wavelet transform (IWT) domain and a bio-inspired , unit for enhancing the confusion and diffusion phase in an approximation coefficient. Finally, an XOR operation is performed with a quantised chaotic set from the developed combined attractors. The algorithm attains an average entropy of 7.9973, near-zero correlation with an NPCR of 99.642%, a UACI of 33.438%, and a keyspace of 10. Further, the experimental analyses and NIST statistical test suite have been designed such that the proposed technique has the potency to withstand any statistical, differential, and brute force attacks.

The cooperation effect of Ni and Pt in the hydrogenation of acetic acid

Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2022, Volume 16, Issue 3,   Pages 397-407 doi: 10.1007/s11705-021-2076-4

Abstract: The catalytic hydrogenation of carboxylic acid to alcohols is one of the important strategies for the conversion of biomass. Herein, a series of Ni-doped PtSn catalysts were prepared, characterized and studied in the hydrogenation of acetic acid. The Ni dopant has a strong interaction with Pt, which promotes the hydrogen adsorption, providing an activated hydrogen-rich environment for the hydrogenation. Meanwhile, the presence of Ni also improves the Pt dispersion, giving more accessible active sites for hydrogen activation. The cooperation of Pt and Ni significantly promotes the catalytic activity of the hydrogenation of acetic acid to ethanol. As a result, the catalyst with 0.1% Ni exhibits the best reaction activity, and its space time yield is twice as that of the PtSn/SiO2 catalyst. It provides a meaningful instruction on the catalyst design for the carboxylic acid hydrogenation.

Research on the flotation of kaolinite using a series of dodecyl tertiary amines

Cao Xuefeng,Liu Changmiao, Hu Yuehua

Strategic Study of CAE 2011, Volume 13, Issue 1,   Pages 93-97

Abstract:

The flotation performances of four tertiary amines (DRN, DEN, DPN and DBN) on kaolinite were studied in this paper. All the four tertiary amines show very good flotation effects on kaolinite, and DEN does the best, with the highest flotation recovery of 92 %. In the acid pH scale, four tertiary can float kaolinite well because their cationics absorb onto the surface of kaolinite by electrostatic force; with the increasing of pH, the content of cationics was decreased to result in the lower flotation recovery. On the basis of Zeta potential, the surface of kaolinite is mainly electro-negative in the whole pH region, and its Zeta potential is remarkable increased after kaolinite was affected by four tertiary amines. Both the results of FT-IR spectra and Zeta potential show that four tertiary amines are absorbed onto the surface of kaolinite by electrostatic force. The flotation differences of four tertiary amines are due to the electronic effects and space steric effects of the substituents belonging to N atom in the amine molecule.
